Did you know the 2019 CLS 450 has a new engine?

It’s been an exciting couple months for Mercedes-Benz, and they’re not ready to stop with the G-Class or the brand-new AMG GT 4-Door! One of the most exciting vehicles coming out later this month is the 2019 CLS 450. A revision of the previous design of the CLS 450, the 2019 model has quite the extensive list of changes, but none as exciting as the new engine placed inside.

Moving away from previous design styles where a V8 engine would be reworked into a 3.0 inline turbocharged 6 engine, Mercedes-Benz and their engineers at Daimler have instead opted to build a inline 6 engine off of their inline four-cylinder blocks that have been built into most of their other vehicles. Adding on to the inline 6 engine with both a turbocharger and hybrid system, the CLS 450 boasts 367 horsepower. This roughly translates to a 0-60 of 4.8 seconds; acceleration feels effortless, with a sensational sound worthy of the newly designed turbocharged inline 6.

Moving to the interior, the CLS 450 takes queues from the redesigned E-Class interior, with the standout dual-screen system replacing the standard navigation screen and instrument cluster. Taking these screens into account, the steering wheel uses an intuitive swipe and click system to control both screen without ever taking your hands off the wheel. Full control of your interior lighting, including color changing for the lights in the doors, ventilation, and other location means that your CLS 450 can have as unique an interior as you’d like.

Glancing at the CLS 450 simply inspires a double take, as the newest style design for the CLS has gone from good to haute couture; impressive, daunting, and sleek barely begin to describe this vehicle.
